It was a double celebration for the organization’s long service staff as they were to be rewarded for the years spent in the civil aviation during the same year that the airport was celebrating its 45th anniversary.

Exhibition to highlight progress and way forward
 

The tourism industry in Seychelles took a major turn with the arrival of the first commercial jet, a British Overseas Airways Corporation jet (BOAC) in 1971. For the population of Seychelles the event was historical and unforgettable. On the 04th of July this year, Seychelles is hence celebrating 45 years of civil aviation, a milestone which will be commemorated by an exhibition being hosted by the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA).

The year 2015 will remain a historic one in terms of the number of visitors arriving on our shores. To date a record number of 254, 017 visitors have been visiting the paradisiacal islands of the Seychelles. This was confirmed this afternoon in a small press briefing held at the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority’s headquarters at the Seychelles International Airport.

20th May 2015 - Passengers and members of the public will soon be able to get free access to the internet at the Seychelles International Airport and the domestic terminal on Mahé as well as at the Iles des Palmes airport on Praslin.

March 16, 2015 - More airport operators are now better equipped to improve on services that are provided to clients and passengers at the Seychelles International Airport (SIA) after following a training in customer service recently.
